The short stack was in a great position to triple up and leave a nice side pot for Lemery, but the flop of 5♣3♠8♦ quickly put a wrench in those plans as Jones took a big lead with his top set of eights. The runout of 4♦J♣ failed to provide a queen or an ace and Jones was awarded the pot while the short stack was sent to the rail.
