Mudireddy was ahead with his nines going into this flip, and the flop of 4♠9♠10♦ gave him a huge lead as Stuart could now only hit a running straight.

The runout of J♠A♣ only added insult to injury for Stuart as he made top two-pair, but it still paled in comparison to Mudireddys set and he was awarded the pot for the double.

Left short, Stuart then exited the very next hand.

On a heads-up turn of Q♦10♥J♦J♥, Nick Barksdale led for 40,000 and then his opponent shipped it in for over 120,000.

"Well, I'm probably dead, but i gotta call," Barksdale announced as he sipped his beer and made the call.

His opponent looked pretty dejected as he turned over A♠8♠, drawing stone dead against the K♣K♠ of Barksdale. The river was the meaningless 3♣ and the large pot was shipped over Barksdale as the table looked on in disbelief.

"Wha-what just happened?" was the theme going around along with "Merry Christmas" as Barksdale rocketed into the chip lead.

On a heads-up turn of 8♣7♣4♦5♥, Kyle McKinney led out for 20,000 and after some thought, his opponent made the call.

The river fell the Q♠ and McKinney moved all in to cover his foe, who went into the tank for around 30 seconds before he made the call, showing A♣5♣ for bricked flush draw and a pair of fives as backup.

Unfortunately, the fives weren't going to cut it as McKinney rolled over K♥6♥ for a straight to take the pot, eliminating th player.

Now that the bubble has burst, play has stopped for Day 1b and the surviving 28 players have bagged up to return tomorrow for Day 2.

After some back-and-forth betting preflop, Gabe Neighbors and his opponent went to a flop of 7♠8♦3♠.

"Wanna make this interesting?" he asked Neighbors, " I'm all in."

Neighbors wasted no time and snap-called the guy to put him at risk, tabling 7♣7♥ for a set of sevens while his opponent held A♦A♠, needing to catch up.

Unfortunately for him, the runout of 2♦4♠ failed to do so and he was eliminated on the stone bubble.
