Hasas Splits; Jordison and Owens Sit Down

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

On a limped pot with two players and a flop of 487, Elanit Hasas bet 300 before the player next to her folded and Norman Boothe called from late position.

The turn was 8 and Hasas bet again, this time for 1,200, and Boothe called to see 5 on the river.

Hasas bet 1,500 and called when Boothe raised it to 3,500. Booth turned over 86 and Hasas had 62 to split the pot with a straight.

Elsewhere in the room, Aja Owens and Angela Jordison have taken their seat in the tournament.

Burkhart Flops a Set at Star Studded Table

Jacki Burkhart
Jacki Burkhart

Action was heads up with 931042 on the board when Jacki Burkhart tossed out 3,000. A player in the next seat over called and she turned over 99 for a set of nines. Her opponent tapped the table and mucked the losing hand.

Meanwhile, Burkhart is joined at the table by the previous two RGPS Womens Event champions. Caitlin Comeskey, who won at the previous stop in Tunica, is seated two seats away from Rachael Fracassi — the winner of this week's RGPS Jacksonville Womens Event.

Lawrence Bounces Back

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Sheldon Lawrence was seen stacking up a double after he fell behind in the opening level. His opponent was Bradley Robinson, whose cards were already mucked after a board of K7355. Lawrence had AK tabled to take the pot and move back just above the starting stack.

...And He's Gone

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 0 ante

An early commotion was heard at Table 57 and Charles Melcher had a Cheshire grin as he stacked up the chips of his opponent.

Melcher had AxAx and Tahhusoglu had KxKx. The chips got in and the board ran out with no help for the pocket kings to give the flight its first elimination.

Tahhusoglu stuck around to get the fruit cup and coffee he had ordered, and it's currently unknown if he will reenter the flight before registration closes at the end of the dinner break.
