The 2023-2024 Fall-Spring season is coming to its end with the final series having already kicked off and the final Main Event of the season. The RunGood Poker Series makes its final stop at Harrah’s Casino in Kansas City, Missouri. The crown jewel of the stop is the $1,100 Main Event with a $200,000 guarantee.

Last year, midwestern regular William McCracken bested Edward Northcraft heads up to take down the first place prize of $83,099. McCracken had come close to a Main Event title a couple of times before, but this was the first ring and Main Event title for the Missouri local.

The RunGood Player of the year race has locked up a couple of spots. Brian Winter remains in first place with 2,840.27 points. No matter what happens this week, this placement is locked up and Winter will become the first official Rungood Series of Poker Player of the year. The competition of the rest of the top five list is still very live.

Shaun “The Ghost” Emery sits in second with 1,354.33 points. With a couple of cashes this week already, he looks to add some points. Forrest Kollar with 1,070.28 and Daniel “Donk” Hughes 1,031.86 are sitting neck and neck at third and fourth. All three of these players have made appearances here this week, each one looking to lock up their seat in the top 5. Walker Miskelly sits in fifth place with 862.77, but has yet to make an appearance this week, while sixth place Jackson Turrentine (828.79) and seventh place Michael Miller (774.15) both have appeared and cashed, so each one is very live to take over the fifth place spot from Miskelly. The implications of this week are massive in points.

Other players are ready the fire and play this week. WSOP bracelet winners Blair Hinkle, Grant Hinkle, and Michael Lech have all come out to play. They will be seated alongside midwestern regulars like Bret Karr, Taylor Howard, Ted Forshey, and former RGPS KC Main Event Champion Andre Allen.

Players will begin this tournament with 30,000 with blinds beginning at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Levels will last 30 minutes each, with a 15-minute break occurring at the conclusion of every four levels. Once Level 9 begins, registration will be closed and play will continue until the money is reached at 12.5%. Those players will bag up and return to play to a winner on Sunday, May 19th.
