Despite showing up in full force, only one sole RunGood Ambassador, Corey Paggeot, managed to find a bag in today’s Day 1b flight. Kyna England and RPGS Player of the Year frontrunner Brian Winter also bagged healthy stack that they will be putting to work tomorrow.

Not all were fortunate enough to see tomorrow, including the rest of the RGPS Ambassadors Jamie Kerstetter, Taylor Howard, Scott Stewart, and Kyle Kitagawa, along with Conrad Simpson.

Flight 1a ended earlier than the following two flights. Play ended with 22:54 left in Level 14 with blinds at 3,000/6,000 and a 6,000 big blind ante. The 53 surviving players will start playing again on Sunday, February 25 at high noon. After the completion of Level 14, the levels will increase to 40-minute blinds, with a 15-minute break after every three levels, with play continuing until a new champion is crowned.

Bad Luck for Kitagawa

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Kyle Kitagawa
Kyle Kitagawa

After a preflop betting war, all the chips got into the middle between Leslie Autenreith and Kyle Kitagawa, who covered.

Leslie Autenreith: AK
Kyle Kitagawa: AK

Both players shared a laugh as they both tabled the same hand, but the smile quickly vanished from Kitagawa's face as the board ran out 37QJ6 to give Autenreith a backdoor flush for all of the chips.

Left extremely short, Kitagawa exited soon after.

Kohlberg Doubles with the Eight-Four

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Curt Kohlberg
Curt Kohlberg

After an open from Ronda Vankrey, Curt Kohlberg shoved all in for 30,000, which Vankrey quickly called to put him at risk.

"Oh sh*t," Kohlberg sighed as he flipped over 84 and was up against the A6 of Vankrey.

The board on the turn read J38A with Vankrey as a big favorite with a pair of aces, but the river came down the 8 to give Kohlberg trip eights and he was awarded the pot, along with some playful comments from the table.

Pizarro Picks off Patsy

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Tyler Pizarro
Tyler Pizarro

After checking through the turn 71046, when the river came the 9, Tyler Pizzaro checked once again to his heads-up opponent, Patsy Karimi.

Karimi then fired off for 40,000 into the pot of close to 30,000, and Pizarro quickly called the big bet.

"I just have a small pair," Karimi admitted as she tabled 33, but Pizarro had that beat with KK and he was pushed the monstrous pot to boost him up in the counts.

Rockets for England

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Kyna England
Kyna England

Jamie Kerstetter opened to 1,100 preflop and was three-bet to 4,000 by Fernando Lopez, but then Kyna England put in the cold four-bet to 9,500. Kerstetter quickly got out of the way while Lopez made the call to see the flop of 2A10.

England then led for 3,500, which Lopez responded to by jamming all in and England snap-called to put herself at risk.

Lopez flipped over AK for top pair, top-kicker, but he was almost dead to England's AA for top set.

The turn K gave Lopez some hope for a chop if a fifth heart hit, but the river was the Q and England scored the big pot to catapult her up to 116,000.
