On the latest episode of the PokerNews Podcast sponsored by PokerStars, Chad Holloway, Connor Richards, and Matt Hansen talk about going to see comedian Kevin Nealon and shenanigans at the latest Charity Series of Poker (CSOP), which saw Mike "The Mouth" Matusow contend for the trophy.
They then chat about the PokerGO Tour (PGT) Championship, which had to contend with a seemingly intoxicated qualifier. It was at that event that Connor caught up with both Arden Cho and Samuel Laskowitz. The former would go on to make a deep run, while the latter was the last player to qualify for the tournament. Plus, hear who won the tournament for $500,000.
Other topics discussed include new online gaming efforts in New York, the THM Winter Championship taking place in the Alps January 29 - February 5, Mike Holtz and Zach Gruneberg winning WSOP.com Player of the Year honors, and Brantzen & Boston Rob to be on Deal or No Deal Island. Finally, Chad reveals that he's slated to play on Poker Night in America.
Starting with this weekend's stop in Tulsa, the RunGood Poker Series is taking Destination RunGood on the road to 11 different stops throughout the first half of 2024.
“Destination RunGood is more than just a theme; it's an invitation for players to experience poker as a way to explore the country,” said RGPS CEO Tana Karn. “We've carefully curated the Spring Season to deliver excitement, camaraderie, and unparalleled competition."
After Tulsa wraps up, players can join the tour in San Diego in February before they move on to one of its oldest stops in Tunica. From Tunica it's on to Jacksonville, where the tour debuted last year, and then regular stops in Joplin and Council Bluffs before it returns to Reno and St. Louis in late April.
The tour's final swing will take it to Bay Area-favorite Graton Casino and then Kansas City before the Season Finale at Thunder Valley in July.

On a flop of 5♦5♥4♣, Brandon Robinson moved all in for around 15,000 and Chris Spencer made the call to put him at risk.
Robinson didn't look too excited to turn over 8♠4♠ for two pair while Spencer flipped over a superior 6♦6♥ holding.
The turn 5♣ improved both players to a full house, but the river was a doozy as the 5♣ gave them both quads, with Robinson holding the winner with eight-high.
The table erupted as the pot was pushed his way after the miraculous runout.

Michael Skimbo opened to 6,000 preflop and was immediately three-bet to 16,000 by Cyrus Khorram. The action folded back around to Skimbo who then moved all in, which Khorram snap-called.
"You got aces, huh?" Skimbo sighed as Khorram nodded and flipped over A♣A♠ while he tabled his K♠K♥
The flop came out 6♥9♦A♦ to leave Skimbo dead to running quads, but the runout of 10♥8♥ did not do it and he was sent to the rail in brutal fashion.

Defending Champion Tyler Barnes moved all in preflop and was quickly called by Forrest Kollar to put him at risk.
Barnes flipped over A♥4♥ while Kollar tabled a superior holding of K♣K♠.
A four appeared on the flop of 4♦6♣10♠ to give Barnes increased outs along with his ace, but the runout of J♣2♦ did not provide for him and he was sent to the rail.
