Grimes Gets There

Level 9 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

After an open to 3,800 and was called, another player three-bet to 15,000 and was called Frank Grimes while the rest of the table got out of the way.

The flop came out AAK and the preflop aggressor stopped to think.

"How much do you have behind?" he asked.

"Not much, young man," Grimes replied, revealing he only had a little over 10,000 left.

After a few more seconds, the player begrudgingly set out a bet of 15,000 to cover Grimes, who quickly called to put himself at risk.

Grimes: A7All in
Opponent: JJ

Only a jack would lose the pot for Grimes, but the runout of 62 was clean to score him the pot for the big double.

Nowak Coolers Mogilnicki in Massive Pot; Stone Triples, then Exits

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The action was picked up on a flop of 968 when all of the chips between Wayne Nowak, Edward Mogilnicki, and Chad Stone got into the middle, with Nowak covering.

Chad Stone: K10All in
Edward Mogilnicki: 88All in
Wayne Nowak: 99

Nowak was in the lead in this huge cooler with his top set, and the runout of J7 gave him the win in the big side pot while Stone took the main pot with his flush.

Unfortunately for Stone, he got it all in the very next hand but failed to double with king-queen against the eights Shmaryahu "Mo" Lewis and he was sent to the rail.

Can't Stop Kopp

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Short-stacked Katie Kopp moved all in preflop and was called by a player to put her at risk.

Katie Kopp: 1010All in
Opponent: AA

Kopp would need some help to stay alive, and the flop of 8J9 gave her a fighting chance with an open-ended straight draw.

The turn 5 did nothing and she began to stand up, but the Q smacked down on the river to give her the straight to score the double.
