Handy Flops a Set to Crack Aces

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a heads-up flop of 98J, Stephen Handy had made it 8,500 to go when his opponent moved all in for close to 30,000. Handy put himself in the blender for a few moments but ultimately decided he could not fold his hand and made the call to put his opponent at risk.

Opponent: AAAll in
Stephen Handy: 88

Handy was well in the lead with his set of eights, but the turn 10 did give his foe flush and straight chop-outs.

Unfortunately for the at-risk player, the river was the brick 2 and the pot was pushed to Handy while the other player headed to the exit.

Archer Happy to Chop with Milko

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Dennis Milko opened to 1,600 and was then three-bet to 6,500 by Matt Archer, to which he responded by moving all in to cover.

"Aghhh..." Archer was not happy in his position, but made the call anyway to put himself at risk.

Matt Archer: JJAll in
Dennis Milko: AK

"Arlight, keep it low!" he shouted, but the flop came out A43 to immediately give Milko the lead with his ace.

"Wow, right in the window..." Archer sighed as the dealer set out the 5 on the turn.

"Deuce!" tablemate Chad Stone yelled, and sure enough, the 2 fell on the river to put a straight on the board to chop the pot between both players.

Berland Flops QUADS against ACES

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

The action was picked up on a heads-up flop of 2J2 when Michael Berland checked to Guy Klass who bet 2,000.

Berland just called and the two players went to the turn 7, which saw another check from Berland and a bet of 8,000 from Klass.

Berland then check-raised to 16,000 and Klass responded by moving all in, which Berland snap-called for less.

Klass flipped over AA for top two pair and nut flush draw but a pit formed in his stomach when he realized he was drawing stone dead once Berland tabled 22 for flopped quads.

The river was the meaningless 6 and the pot was shipped to Berland while Klass was left short and shaking his head.
