A player opened to 5,500 from middle position before Brent Gregory jammed for 44,500 from the cutoff, and his opponent quickly called once it folded back to him.

The A♥K♦9♣ flop gave Gregory top and bottom pair but his opponent still had outs to improve along with some backdoors. However, the board ran out 7♥J♦ as Gregory secured the full double.

Registration has closed in the first of two starting flights as play resumes following the dinner break.

A total of 156 entries were tallied with the final 20 players being in the money and guaranteed a minimum cash of $1,529. 53 players remain as the action gets back underway.

Play will conclude today at a hard stop of 11 players or through 18 complete levels, whichever comes first.

The players have been sent on a 60-minute dinner break with action set to resume at 6:30 p.m.

Registration will close following the break for this flight. The clock currently reads 154 entries, among which around 55 remain. Full registration numbers will be posted once they are finalized.

Lauren Bunch from the small blind and her opponent in the big blind had created a pot of around 26,000 on the turn with the board reading K♣6♦4♣5♥.

Bunch jammed as the covering stack and the big blind called off his final 9,700.

The big blind was ahead with top pair but Bunch had both a gutshot and a flush draw to improve. The 7♣ rolled off on the river, giving Bunch her flush as her opponent was forced to frustratingly leave the area.

Wofford Coolers Farmboy in Largest Pot of the Day

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jack Wofford limped from under the gun, the small blind completed, and John "Farmboy" Kurfman checked his option in the big blind.

On the 5♠5♣2♥ flop, the action checked to Wofford who bet 4,000 and only Kurfman called.

Wofford fired again for 4,000 on the A♣ turn before Kurfman check-raised to 12,000. Wofford put on a small Hollywood before he announced re-raise and tossed out 29,000. Kurfman quickly jammed as the covering stack and Wofford snap-called for 62,900.

John Kurfman: J♣5♥

Wofford hit a two-outer on the turn to make a full house against the trips of Kurfman, who had one out to improve. However, the 2♦ rolled off on the river and Wofford's aces full were best to secure a massive double.
