Jewell Straightens Out Kings

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
James Jewell
James Jewell

James Jewell raised to 2,500 from the small blind before the big blind three-bet to 7,500. Jewell responded with a four-bet jam for 25,900 effective as the covering stack, and his opponent snapped it off.

Big Blind: KK All in
James Jewell: 66

Jewell needed some help to take out his opponent's overpair as the 987 flop gave him an open-ended straight draw. No waiting was required on the 5 turn as Jewell completed his straight. Nothing changed on the 8 river as Jewell collected the pot.

Bill Romer from the big blind was heads-up with the button on the turn as the board read 9738. Romer fired out a bet of 3,500 and his opponent quickly called.

On the A river, Romer led for a final time for 7,000 and the button put in the call. He got the bad news as Romer tabled 97 for a flopped two pair to drag another substantial pot as he extends his lead atop the counts.

Todd's Ace is Best

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Adam Todd opened to 1,600 from middle position and Brent Gregory called in the big blind.

On the KQ8 flop, Gregory check-called a 1,500 continuation from Todd.

Gregory checked again on the A turn as Todd sized up to 7,500 and Gregory called after a small tank before the 8 river quickly checked through.

Brent Gregory: K2
Adam Todd: A2

Gregory got sticky with his second pair while Todd turned top pair to go along with the nut flush draw as he closes in on the six-figure mark.

Tens Hold for Hudson in Four-Way All-in

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Kami Hudson
Kami Hudson

A player jammed for 2,700 under the gun and was called by a player in middle position. The button then jammed for 4,200 before Kami Hudson came over the top with an all-in for 27,600 from the small blind. It folded back to the middle position player who decided to put in the call.

Under the Gun: KJ All in
Button: K8 All in
Kami Hudson: 1010 All in
Middle Position: QJ

The table was aghast to see the hands tabled as the tens were in good shape to hold with others sharing outs. The 994 flop was safe for Hudson as the board ran out 75 as the tens held on to eliminate two players and win a sizeable side pot.

Trimble Gets Paid with Better Flush

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Heads-up to the turn with the board reading K637, Larry Trimble bet 3,000 from middle position and was snap-called by his opponent in the hijack.

On the A river, Trimble fired another bet of 10,000, representing the majority of his remaining stack, and his opponent begrudgingly tossed in the call after a minute's tank. Trimble revealed Q8 for the second nut flush which was best against the ten-high flush of his opponent as he dragged the pot.
