Under the shadow of the nation’s capital, the MGM National Harbor Resort & Casino plays host to the $1,700 RunGood Poker Series Grand Prix Maryland beginning today at 3:15 p.m. local time.

Ring-chasers and title hopefuls will descend on Oxon Hill, Maryland, a short drive from Washington, D.C., over the coming days to chase the $300,000 guaranteed prize pool. Today marks the first of three starting flights, with Days 1b and 1c scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m. on October 31 and November 1, respectively.

Players begin each starting flight with a 40,000 starting stack, including 10,000 extra chips for a $60 voluntary staff add-on. Levels will be 40 minutes, with a break after every three levels and a 45-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9. Late registration remains open for the first 12 levels, with unlimited reentries allowed.

Each flight plays down to approximately 12.5 percent of the field. All remaining players will be in the money once Day 2 begins at 12:15 p.m. on November 2. A player may bag multiple flights and receive a min-cash, with their shorter stacks being taken out of play. Levels on Day 2 will be extended to 50 minutes, while the final table will feature 60-minute levels.
