Caruso Holds For a Knockout
Level 3
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
A player in middle position raised to 1,000 and the hijack called before Christopher Caruso three-bet to 3,400 in the cutoff. The small blind, middle position, and hijack all called.
Caruso continued for 5,500 on the A♦J♣7♣ flop and the table folded around to the hijack who shoved for 17,800. Caruso called to put his opponent at risk.
All-in player: 4♣3♣
Christopher Caruso: A♠9♠
Caruso was ahead with top pair, while his opponent was looking to complete a flush draw. The Q♥ turn and 7♠ river were no help, and Caruso's ace held on to send his opponent to the rail.
