Caruso Cracks Aces to Double; Dobin Makes a Huge Hero Call Against Czap
Level 9
: Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
With around 20,000 in the pot on a board of 7♦10♠Q♥K♠, Christopher Caruso bet 15,000 from the cutoff before Hamid Izadi moved all in from the hijack. Caruso called for 46,000.
Izadi showed A♦A♥, but Caruso had turned a straight with J♥9♣. The river was the 2♥ and Caruso doubled up.
At the same time at another table, a massive pot was brewing between Harrison Dobin and Stephani Czap. Around 50,000 was in the middle on the river with the board showing 3♣3♦7♣8♦4♣. Dobin then bet 5,000 from early position and Czap moved all in from the button.
Dobin tanked for several minutes before calling for his last 48,800. Czap could only show A♥K♦ for ace-high, while Dobin had 5♣5♠ to win the pot and double up.
