Bako Gets a Double Amid Some Confusion
Level 17
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Roy Kim has been dominating the table on his way to a stack of 800,000, but he decided to sit out this hand and folded under the gun.
"Yay! He finally folded! Does that mean someone else gets to play, finally?" tablemate Lee Sommers said as the table erupted in celebration.
William Beer then limped in from the hijack and Louis Bailey called in the small blind. Alex Bako moved all in for 39,000 in the big blind, and only Beer called.
Alex Bako: A♦Q♠
William Beer: A♠5♣
The board ran out J♠7♠7♣4♣7♥ and both players took back their chips for a chop pot. The dealer was already shuffling for the next hand when it was pointed out that Bako's queen-kicker was actually playing, and Beer finally handed over the chips.
