Nicholas Rigby Among 33 Players Chasing the Title on Day 2 of the RGPS Grand Prix Maryland Main Event
Nicholas Rigby doesn’t have to go back too far to remember what it feels like to win a RunGood Poker Series Main Event ring.
The Pennsylvania native, who shot to fame with his aggressive style and “Dirty Diaper” favorite hand of three-deuce, won the RGPS Grand Prix Southern Indiana Main Event back in August, one of three rings he’s won just over the last year. Rigby is back at it this week at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill and is among 33 players who return for Day 2 of the $1,700 RGPS Grand Prix Maryland Main Event at 12:15 p.m. local time.
Rigby begins the day in fourth chip position with 561,500. He’s looking up at chip leader Roy Kim (925,000), while Justin Arnwine (801,000), Hamid Izadi (722,000), and Kai Nicholls (543,000) round out the top five.

Other players still in contention include Charles Furey (460,000), who won the PokerStars Open Maryland Main Event just a few days ago, as well as WSOP bracelet winner Christopher Chatman (413,000), ring winner Alexander Wiggins (365,000), Kieran Davey (336,000), Aaron Pinson (330,000), and Kash Corpening (329,000). Further down the leaderboard are Joe Crowley (135,000) and Lara Eisenberg (125,000).
The action on Day 2 picks up with seven minutes remaining in Level 15 with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and a 6,000 big blind ante. Levels will be extended to 50 minutes at the start, then go to 60 minutes once the final table is reached.
The event drew a total of 251 entries over three starting flights, building a prize pool of $384,030. The official list of payouts should be announced shortly after the start of play.
