For the first time in over ten years, the RunGood Poker Series has returned to New Orleans as the RGPS Grand Prix season continues with the 2025 RGPS Grand Prix New Orleans $800 Main Event.

The last RGPS Grand Prix stop took place two weeks ago and culminated in the RGPS Grand Prix Pennsylvania $800 Main Event. That event saw Chadd Beatty outlast the 165-entry field and defeat Rob Gardner heads-up to win the top prize of $26,018 and his second RGPS ring of the series.

The Main Event features a $200,000 guarantee and three starting flights, the first of which takes place at 6:00 p.m. local time. Players begin with 30,000 in chips, worth 150 big blinds at the start of the day. Blind levels increase every 30 minutes during late registration, which is open until the start of Level 9. From that point on, blind levels increase every 40 minutes. There will be a 15-minute break after every two hours of play.

Unlimited reentries are permitted throughout the late registration period, and each Day 1 finishes when 12.5% of the field remains, at which point all surviving players will advance to Day 2 and be in the money. Day 2 will then start at the earliest blind level of the three flights on Sunday, October 5, where the event will play down to a winner.

Any players who qualify for Day 2 more than once can only carry their higher chip stack forward, as they aim for a larger piece of the prize pool on Sunday.
