Kennedy Holds with Kings to Keep the Streak Alive
Level 12
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
A player from under the gun opened to 8,000 and Chris Kennedy three-bet to 23,000 from his direct left. Action then folded around to a player in the hijack who shoved with a covering stack. Kennedy, who had over 100,000, called and was at risk.
Chris Kennedy: K♥K♦
Hijack: J♠J♣
Kennedy was a big favorite with pocket kings but the Q♣3♣4♣ flop gave his opponent a flush draw for some additional outs. The rest of the board ran out 4♦8♦, keeping Kennedy's kings in front for the double up.
Kennedy mentioned earlier today that before today's Main Event he had played five RunGood events so far, making the final table each time. Time will tell if Kennedy can keep his final table streak going with a sixth final table in the Main Event.
