Motter Wins Ace-High Battle

Kevin Motter raised to 1,300 on the button, and Brian Morrow defended his big blind to see the 5♦3♦J♣ flop.

Both players checked to the J♥ turn, where Morrow led out for 1,000. Motter quickly called to the 9♣ river, where another pair of checks followed.

"Ace-high" said Motter, tabling A♥10♦. Morrow turned over A♣4♣ for an ace-high of his own, but the weaker kicker saw Motter claim the pot.
