Wilburn Chips Up Before Break
Level 11
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Richard Wilburn opened to 6,500 in middle position, and Patrick Waters made the call in the hijack. Zachary Gruneberg defended his big blind, and checked on the K♦2♦5♠ flop.
Wilburn continued for 13,000, with both opponents making the call. Another check from Gruneberg followed the 8♥ turn, and Wilburn fired 46,000 into the middle.
Waters did not take long to fold, while Gruneberg flashed a king as he let his hand go.
"What was your kicker?" asked Wilburn.
"Ten," replied Gruneberg.
"Good fold," Wilburn said while showing K♠J♦ as he raked in the pot.
