Ladies for Lanese
Level 10
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
A player from early position chose to raise it to 16,000 before Barbara Lanese asked for it all when she jammed to put her opponent to a decision for his tournament life. The early position player gave it considerable thought before he put in chips to make the call and be at risk for approximately 35,000.
Opponent: J♥J♣
Barbara Lanese: Q♥Q♦
Lanese had her opponent's hand in trouble, and there were no jacks or connecting cards to be found when the flop came 6♥5♥2♦ to keep Lanese in the lead.
The 10♣ turn and the 8♣ river completed the board as Lanese scored another knockout as her stack has now grown past the 300,000 mark.
