Barbara Lanese Leads Day 1b
Day 1b surpassed Day 1a in entrants with a total of 142 entries, which permitted a total of 17 players to make the money and advance to Day 2 as the RunGood Poker Series Grand Prix San Diego $600 Main Event continues to march towards a champion at Jamul Casino Resort.
Barbara Lanese topped the leaderboard on Day 1b with a stack of 436,000. Beau Boasythong (393,000) and Kellan Kemp (365,000) rounded out the top three.
Lanese lives in the San Diego area and has been a regular player at Jamul Casino. Lanese stated she has been playing poker for 25 years and shared with PokerNews that she enjoys the social aspect of the game.
Lanese topped the leaderboards after she watched her stack grow when she scored two knockouts during Level 9 and 10, respectively, to vault past the 400,000 mark. Lanese never waivered from that point forward as she maneuvered through the field the rest of the way to bag as the Day 1b chip leader.
Lanese was glad to advance to Day 2 and had a respectful outlook towards her opponents and the game.
“I’m very excited,” Lanese said. “I’m just respectful of all the players, and I’m glad to be returning tomorrow.”
