PokerNews caught up with Preston McEwen who was involved in a hand during the previous level where he ended up folding pocket kings preflop.
According to McEwen, he opened with a raise to 12,000 in the hijack, the cutoff flatted, and the button three-bet to 36,000. McEwen then four-bet to 82,000, prompting the cutoff to get out of the way. The button then came over the top and five-bet jammed for about 285,000. McEwen then thought through his decision and elected to fold the cowboys face up, for the first time in his life. The button ended up flashing an ace to keep McEwen guessing.
David Little moved all in from under the gun and action folded around to Suzanne White who was forced all in from the big blind.
Suzanne White: 4♥4♠
David Little: K♦Q♦
Little pulled ahead on the A♠K♠8♥ flop, pairing his king. The 8♠ fell on the turn and White was all but out until the 4♦ landed on the river to keep her tournament hopes alive.
Ashkan Izadi was all in preflop and at risk for 151,000 in late position against David Mann on the button.
Ashkan Izadi: 7♣7♥
David Mann: A♥J♦
The flop came 4♥4♠8♣ with Izadi still in the lead. He improved to a full house on the 7♠ turn to lock up the win and the meaningless 2♣ landed on the river.
