Ismael Gonzalez Leads 32 Survivors from Day 1ab of the RunGood Bay Area Main Event
Two opening flights of the 2025 RGPS Mission RunGood Bay Area $800 Main Event have come and gone. A total of 248 players made their way to Graton Resort and Casino with the eyes on a Day 2 bag: 139 in Day 1a and 109 in Day 1b.
However, once the dust settled after over 14 hours of poker, just 32 players advanced to Monday’s restart.
Leading the way from today’s flights was Ismael Gonzalez who bagged an impressive 572,000. Jasthi Kumar came out in second place with 524,000. Rounding out the podium in third was the evening flight leader Brad Anderson with 487,000.

There are several more opportunities for players to come out and find a bag this weekend. Day 1c starts tomorrow, May 10 at 11 a.m. There is also an evening flight at 5 p.m. tomorrow. The final flight is Sunday at 11 a.m. which will be the final chance for players to fight for the $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Play ended with 13 minutes left on the clock in Level 15 with blinds at 4,000/8,000 and a 8,000 big blind ante in Day 1a. The players will return at this level unless a subsequent flight ends earlier than this one.
