Level: 16
Blinds: 5,000/10,000
Ante: 10,000
With 15 players remaining and 14 being in the money, play will continue hand-for-hand until another player is eliminated.
Level 14: Blinds 3,000/6,000
A player jammed for 22,000 from early position and was called by Michael Lin in middle position and Michael Persky in the small blind.
The A♦3♥2♠6♣J♠ board was checked to the river before Lin bet 15,000 and Persky folded. Lin tabled 6♠6♥ for a turned set while the at-risk player mucked and the tournament has been reduced to its final 18 players.
Day 1b has been reduced to its final three tables as the remaining 26 players must navigate plenty of short stacks with the hopes of being one of the 14 to advance to Day 2.
The remaining 29 players are going on a 15-minute break.
Play resumes in Level 13 with blinds at 3,000/5,000/5,000 with an average stack of 113,000, or 23 big blinds.
Level 12: Blinds 2,000/4,000
A player limped from early position before a player on the button moved all-in. Tony Wasaya completed the small blind and two-time WSOP Circuit Main Event winner Michael Persky checked his option.
The 9♥8♥2♥6♦5♣ board was checked to the river before Persky bet 15,000 and got no callers.
Button: J♣10♠
Michael Persky: Q♥7♣
The button flopped open-ended but could not improve as Persky rivered a straight to bring the field to its final 30 players.
