"That's the Oldest Trick in the Book"

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Jesse Green limped from early position before Ben McCoy raised from middle position. Both the big blind and Green came along.

On the A88 flop, the action checked to McCoy who bet 1,600 and only Green called.

The turn brought the 4 and McCoy fired again for 2,700. Green then put out a 5,000 chip along with 700 in smaller chips and the dealer announced raise.

Green protested, "Oops, I didn't mean to raise," but the ruling stood as a raise to 5,700 and McCoy put in the call.

Green quickly jammed for 11,300 effective on the 3 river, immediately causing McCoy discomfort.

"I've seen these tricks before...he didn't mean to raise and now he's all in."

McCoy laid it down after some deliberation and Green showed the 9 as he returned his cards to the dealer.

"That's the oldest trick in the book," bemoaned McCoy in the post-mortem.
