Jesse Green limped from early position before Ben McCoy raised from middle position. Both the big blind and Green came along.
On the A♣8♦8♣ flop, the action checked to McCoy who bet 1,600 and only Green called.
The turn brought the 4♥ and McCoy fired again for 2,700. Green then put out a 5,000 chip along with 700 in smaller chips and the dealer announced raise.
Green protested, "Oops, I didn't mean to raise," but the ruling stood as a raise to 5,700 and McCoy put in the call.
Green quickly jammed for 11,300 effective on the 3♠ river, immediately causing McCoy discomfort.
"I've seen these tricks before...he didn't mean to raise and now he's all in."
McCoy laid it down after some deliberation and Green showed the 9♠ as he returned his cards to the dealer.
"That's the oldest trick in the book," bemoaned McCoy in the post-mortem.
