Jun Obara doubled PINZMAN when his jam with 8♦5♣ was called by A♣4♣ and the ace remained ahead on a board of 9♥6♦2♣K♠10♠.

Soon after that, the former stage table chip leader Masaki jammed out of the small blind into the big blind of Jiro3 and both had near even stack sizes.

The suited ace gained no equity on a board of 10♣5♣4♠10♥K♥ and both stacks were counted. Jiro3's 3,475,000 covered and that reduced the field to the final nine players, which are now on a break prior to the final table start.

Prior to the previous elimination, SU__ was all-in for only 800,000 in the cutoff and Kanasuke called on the button.

Nakaten raised and then called the short stack shove by Yuta with the 4♠3♠ as very large stack on the second table. Yuta's Q♥10♥ were ahead but the K♦5♠2♣ flop was a massive sweat. Yuta picked up a straight draw himself with the [7Jd6 turn, the 7♣ river changed nothing.

At almost the same time, there were two all-in and call and both shorter stacks busted.

Bryan Nakamura was all-in and in dire need of help with the K♥7♥. Kanasuke had the A♥K♠ and neither player connected with the J♦9♣5♠8♣Q♦ board as Nakamura had to settle for 14th place worth $1,618 in JOPT contracts.

Day 1a chip leader taisyo was the next casualty when he three-bet jammed with A♦10♦ into the A♠K♣ of mashipi and couldn't hit anything. Before the start of the day, taisyo had said he "will do his best" and certainly diud so with a deep run in 13th place for $1,876 in JOPT contracts.
