After their stack had plummeted all the way to 45,500, iZ was all-in with the A♦7♦ and marginally ahead against a bigger stack with the A♠6♥. While a split pot was likely, the 10♥9♠4♥7♠10♦ board paired up iZ for the double.

He then called the all-in of a shorter stack but none of the players behind fell for his trap with A♦A♥. The at-risk player had K♦9♥ and found no miracle escape on the 4♦3♣3♦2♥J♠ runout.
Shunya raised from the cutoff to 10,000 and then called a three-bet shove by the button for around 35,000 with the A♥Q♦. He was up against an inferior ace albeit suited, as the button tabled the A♣J♣.
The K♦Q♠5♥9♦K♣ runout kept Shunya ahead all the way and a few moments later, another table broke as the late night action continued to wreak havoc on Day 1a.
The chips went in after the K♠J♠Q♦3♠ turn and kaoru2 had the best of it with 10♠7♠ against his table neighbour, who was at risk holding the A♦K♣ for the top pair. All their remaining 80,000 chips were pushed one spot over as the 8♦ river was already meaningless.
In a duel under the gun versus plus one, the chips went into the middle for nearly 30 big blinds a piece and MESODI was the player at risk with K♦K♣ versus A♦A♥. The aces were cracked on the Q♣6♦3♣J♣2♣ runout and MESODI doubled. Only one hand later, the table broke and the players parted ways with now around 80 hopefuls still in contention.
With a short stack getting the last six to seven big blinds into the middle, taisyo woke up with yet another big pair and had an easy call holding the K♥K♦. He was up against A♥3♦ and there wasn't much of a sweat on the 10♦8♦3♣5♦8♥ runout. With around one hour left in the day, taisyo has moved a bit further away from the pack at the top of the leaderboard.
Several players are now nearing half a million in chips with taisyo still on top of the leaderboard by some margin. One of the possible candidates to pull ahead of him is Makoto, who just won a three-way pot with minor action. On the 10♠8♠4♦ flop, he bet 8,000 when checked to and one opponent called.
They checked down the K♠ turn and 9♥ river for his opponent to show 8♣7♣, which he had beat with the Q♦Q♥.

iZ defended the big blind against a single raise and they checked to the 10♥9♠3♠A♣4♦ river, on which iZ checked again. His opponent bet 10,000 and won the pot. The very same player opened to 8,500 in the next hand and iZ squeezed to 27,000 in order to win the pot.
In the meanwhile, the tournament day of Joe Stapleton has lost the remainder of his stack after a topsy-turvy day and won't be bagging up tonight with now fewer than 100 players remaining.
