After two opening flights, Day 2 of the $2,700 Mission Run Good Million Dollar Main Event at the B]Thunder Valley Casino and Resort[/B] is here. A total of 116 players have advanced to Day 2 with a prize pool of $1,000,000 awaiting those who are fortunate to cash in the tournament. All the remaining players will be chasing the top prize of $200,080 as well as the ring and the title here at the B]Run Good Poker Series[/B] (RGPS).

The top three chip leaders heading into Day 2 all came from Day 1b, which includes Haixia Zhang (445,000), Joshua Steinberg (393,000), and Robert Grossglauser (358,000.

Zhang will aim to top her second-place finish at an RGPS in 2022 in the $1,000 Run Good Director’s Cut held at Thunder Valley Casino and Resort. Grossglauser has also had success at Thunder Valley, with all of his recorded live tournament first-place finishes having occurred at this venue.

2023 Champion Tyler Patterson (72,000) is still in the hunt to snag yet another main event title at Thunder Valley. Patterson outlasted a field of 477 entrants to secure his RGPS ring back in 2023. Time will tell if he can pull off another title run.

Sasha Sabbaghian (86,000), fresh off his win in the $600 Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship earlier this week, also qualified for Day 2. Ian Steinman (82,500), a two-time RGPS champion, is also set to return.

Players will be playing ten levels on Day 2 to advance to Day 3. Play is scheduled to begin with the blinds at 1,500/2,500. There are 15-minute breaks scheduled after every two levels, with a 75-minute dinner break taking place after level 16. Day 2 will have a shot clock. Players will be given five time chips at the beginning of Day 2, with an additional five issued at 27 players left.

The top 58 players will receive at least a minimum cash prize of $3,650. The top two places will payout a six-figure score, with each member of the final table guaranteed at least $19,950.
