Hot Start for Burkhart
Day 2 has been a success thus far for Jacqueline Burkhart as she continued to chip up in a hand against James Malcolm.
The hand began when Burkhart raised to 5,000 from early position. Casimer Fijalkowski came along with a call from the hijack before James Malcolm chose to raise it to 17,500 from the big blind.
Burkhart wasted little time before she shoved all-in for 85,000. Fijalkowski folded, and Malcolm made the call to put Burkhart at risk.
Jacqueline Burkhart: Q♥Q♦
James Malcolm: 10♥10♣
Burkhart held the best hand as they went into the runout, and it was only reinforced as the best hand after the flop fanned out Q♣7♦J♥ to give Burkhart top set.
The 7♠ turn upgraded Burkhart to a full house to end the hand as the meaningless 9♦ hit the river to complete the board.
