Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Andrew Moreno
Andrew Moreno

Andrew Moreno opened the action with a raise to 24,000 from the cutoff. Haixia Zhang re-raised to 55,000 from the button. Moreno responded with a three-bet to 102,000, which led to a four-bet all-in from Zhang. Moreno quickly called to be at risk for 320,000.

Andrew Moreno: KKAll in
Haixia Zhang: 55

Moreno needed to fade the five, and that is exactly what happened when the board ran A6A810 to award Moreno the double and put a dent in the stack of Zhang, who had been in the top ten chip counts all of Day 2 up until this loss.

Vang Sends Hoffman to the Cage

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jacqueline Burkhart got the hand started with a raise to 25,000 from early position. Paul Vang opted to re-raise to 125,000 from the button, and faced the all-in of Jedidiah Hoffman from the big blind. Hoffman's all-in pushed Burkhart out, but Vang quickly called to put Hoffman at risk.

Jedidiah Hoffman: QQAll in
Paul Vang: AK

Hoffman needed to hold to stay in the tournament, but the flop brought bad news as it fanned out 10K8 to put Vang in the lead.

The A turn gave Vang two pair, and the 8 river sealed the deal in favor of Vang as Hoffman was sent to the payout desk.
