Andrew Moreno opened the action with a raise to 24,000 from the cutoff. Haixia Zhang re-raised to 55,000 from the button. Moreno responded with a three-bet to 102,000, which led to a four-bet all-in from Zhang. Moreno quickly called to be at risk for 320,000.
Andrew Moreno: K♠K♦
Haixia Zhang: 5♠5♦
Moreno needed to fade the five, and that is exactly what happened when the board ran A♦6♠A♠8♣10♣ to award Moreno the double and put a dent in the stack of Zhang, who had been in the top ten chip counts all of Day 2 up until this loss.
Jacqueline Burkhart got the hand started with a raise to 25,000 from early position. Paul Vang opted to re-raise to 125,000 from the button, and faced the all-in of Jedidiah Hoffman from the big blind. Hoffman's all-in pushed Burkhart out, but Vang quickly called to put Hoffman at risk.
Jedidiah Hoffman: Q♠Q♦
Paul Vang: A♣K♦
Hoffman needed to hold to stay in the tournament, but the flop brought bad news as it fanned out 10♣K♠8♥ to put Vang in the lead.
The A♦ turn gave Vang two pair, and the 8♣ river sealed the deal in favor of Vang as Hoffman was sent to the payout desk.

Daniel Burgess began the action with a raise to 25,000 from under the gun. Jedidiah Hoffman called from his immediate left, and Paul Vang defended his big blind to create a three-handed pot.
The 8♠3♥3♣ flop resulted in a check from Vang before Burgess continued for 55,000. Hoffman folded, but Vang stuck around with a call.
Vang and Burgess both checked the 7♠ turn and the 4♣ river.
Burgess showed J♥J♦ as Vang mucked his hand to scoop the pot.
Kais Mohammad raised to 25,000 from early position, and Paul Brown called from middle position to create a heads-up pot.
Mohammad opted to lead on the 10♥Q♦8♦ flop, which Brown responded to with a raise to 60,000. Mohammad called and sent them to a turn.
The 9♠ turn resulted in a check from Mohammad, and Brown promptly shoved for 157,000. Mohammad gave it a brief consideration before he folded to award the pot to Brown.
Robert Grossglauser opened under the gun to 25,000 and was called in the cutoff by Gene Davenport.
Grossglauser bet 15,000 on the 9♠Q♣8♥ flop, but faced a raise to 45,000 from Davenport. Grossglauser was undeterred and chose to push back with a raise to 115,000.
Davenport gave it some thought before he pitched his cards into the muck as Grossglauser continued his strong Day 2 after the dinner break by adding to his tournament chip lead.
