Welcome Back to Day 1c of the $600 Main Event
The weekend is in full swing at the 2026 rendition of the Jamul Poker Open, which also means we are in the heart of the $600 Main Event that boasts a $100,000 guaranteed prizepool. The Jamul Casino Resort is the beautiful setting for this poker series, in the backdrop of the Southern California mountains just outside of San Diego.
Two flights were completed yesterday, accumulating 65 entries on Day 1a and 91 entries on Day 1b. A total of 20 players have advanced to Day 2 on Sunday thus far and more will be looking to secure their place on the final day today.
Di Wu still holds the overall chip lead after an impressive showing in the opening flight. Wu was able to put 464,000 chips in his bag, more than 15 starting stacks. Momentum can be a beautiful thing as Wu has already claimed one trophy earlier this week with his win in the $200 Monster Stack for $3,515.
The cards are scheduled to go in the air at 11 a.m. PST on the West Coast for Day 1c. The later flight will have limited coverage which begins at 6 p.m. Each player will receive a starting stack of 30,000 chips with the blinds starting out at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante.
The levels will be 30 minutes in length throughout all of the starting flights with a 15-minute break after every four levels. Late registration will remain open until the start of level nine, or approximately 3:30 p.m. for Day 1c. Play will come to an end when just 12.5% of the field remains and you must bag chips to be considered in the money on Day 2.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be back on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout Day 1c en route to reaching that $100,000 guarantee set out.
