Murphy Flops Top Set But Gets It in Behind
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Action went three-ways to a monotone flop of 3♠5♠J♠, where Samuel Murphy led out with a bet of 5,000 in the small blind. Ryan Wallace then moved all in for just over 50,000 in the big blind, and the player next to act folded. Murphy called off his remaining 29,100 to put himself at risk.
Samuel Murphy: J♦J♣
Ryan Wallace: Q♠10♠
Wallace remained in the lead with his flush on the 8♣ turn, but Murphy filled up on the 5♦ river to stay alive.
Wallace was left with about 19,000 and was seen exiting the tournament area not long after. He opted to rebuy for a fresh 40,000 starting stack.
