Christopher Arterberry Bags Big on Day 1b
Action has wrapped up in Day 1b of the $300 PokerNews PowerStack Mystery Bounty here at the RunGood Poker Series Golden Expedition Dallas hosted by Palace Poker. Of the 90 runners who started the day, only 11 players will return for Day 2 on Sunday, all of whom are already in the money.
Local poker vlogger Christopher Arterberry, who goes by "CH Poker" on YouTube, bagged the chip lead in the second of six flights with 644,000, finishing as the only player to surpass the half-million mark.
Shortly after late registration closed, Arterberry was down to about seven big blinds and turned his stack of 11,000 into over 100,000 in back-to-back hands where he doubled up and then quadrupled up. He rode that momentum all the way to the finish line and will look to add some Mystery Bounties to his content come Sunday.
Behind Arterberry in second sits John Blansett, who bagged a respectable 486,000, and rounding out the podium is Matthew Thomas with 458,000.

Notable Eliminations
Jesse Keel, who took down the $200 Texas 10K Ring Event last night for $5,198, was in the mix on Day 1b but couldn't find a bag for Sunday.
Jeremiah Smith, Roger Vazquez, and Michael McBarron were among a few players who returned after falling short on Day 1a. They still have four more flights available to try to book a ticket into Day 2.
Ryan Wallace lost a flip with pocket fives against Kevin Small's ace-ten to exit on the stone bubble. He was short stacked in the big blind and was ahead until Small paired his ace on the turn.
Day 1c is currently underway and Day 1d and 1e will take place on Saturday, August 15 at 11:00 am and 6:00 p.m., respectively. Day 1f is the final flight and will be a turbo beginning at 10:00 p.m.
Play for Day 1 flights will conclude once 12.5% of the field (rounded down) remains and those who bag will be in the money. Day 2 will then start at the earliest blind level of the six flights on Sunday, August 16, where the event will play down to a winner.
The final table will be livestreamed on Palace Poker's YouTube Channel, so remember to tune in!
