Play has concluded for Day 1d of the $300 PokerNews PowerStack Mystery Bounty here at the RunGood Poker Series Golden Expedition Dallas hosted by Palace Poker. Of the 159 runners who started the day, only 19 players will return for Day 2 on Sunday, all of whom are already in the money.
Nicholas Burnett (1,020,000) ascended to the top of the leaderboard, finishing as the only player to surpass the million-chip mark through the first four starting flights. He climbed steadily all afternoon and found a huge double up late in the day against Tom Andersen (357,000), who was one of the other big stacks left in the field at the time.
Jeremy Drewery also surged during the last few levels, winning pot after pot, and bagged an impressive 787,000 to finish second, while John Burks secured a top-three stack with 537,000.

Players to Keep an Eye On
Soheb Porbandarwala, a WSOP bracelet winner and 12-time Circuit ring winner, bagged a top-ten stack with 269,000. Kyle Birdwell, who has two Circuit rings to his name and just over $500,000 in lifetime career earnings according to The Hendon Mob, ended the day with 119,000. RunGood ambassador Duster Ellis (98,000) also punched a ticket into Day 2.
Those Who Fell Short
Dusti Smith, who won the largest women’s-only poker event in history last summer, exited shortly after late registration closed. RunGood regular Lisa Schuessler saw a similar fate, but is currently holding steady in Day 1e. The bubble burst on the last hand before the final break, where Deven Cole and Casey Powell were eliminated at separate tables.
Day 1e is currently underway, and Day 1f is the sixth and final flight, which will be a turbo beginning at 10:00 p.m.
Play for Day 1 flights will conclude once 12.5% of the field (rounded down) remains and those who bag will be in the money. Day 2 will then start at the earliest blind level of the six flights on Sunday, August 16, where the event will play down to a winner.
