Sparks Gains Ground
Level 13
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Billy Taylor raised to 13,000 in the cutoff, finding a quick call from Steve Sparks on the button. James Coyle came along in the big blind, and all three players checked the 8♥9♣8♣ flop.
Action checked to Sparks on the 7♣ turn, who bet 15,000. Coyle called, while Taylor sent his cards into the muck. The 10♦ river completed the board, and both players checked it down.
Sparks showed Q♠10♠ for two pair, good enough to claim the pot as Coyle mucked.
