Maverick Johnson moved his chip-leading stack into the middle from under the gun, finding a call from Anwesh Baisyat in the big blind.
Anwesh Baisyat: A♥K♠
Maverick Johnson: K♦J♦
Baisyat had Johnson dominated, and the 2♥6♣10♥ flop did nothing to change that. The 7♥ turn kept Baisyat in front, while the J♥ river connected with both players. Johnson found the pair he needed, but the heart completed a flush for Baisyat to double his stack.
Action folded to Hau Vee Yow in the hijack, who moved all in for 53,000. Cameron Patton made the call on the button, leaving Yow at risk.
Hau Vee Yow: Q♥10♥
Cameron Patton: 9♠9♦
"I need help," Yow said as the cards were turned up. The dealer delivered for Yow on the 5♦3♥10♠10♣6♦ board, improving to trip tens to win the flip and double his stack.
Samuel Jones got his stack of 44,000 into the middle from the cutoff, at risk against Jamal Hopkinson in the small blind.
Samuel Jones: Q♠Q♥
Jamal Hopkinson: 10♣10♦
Jones was well ahead with his pocket queens, but Hopkinson picked up additional outs on the 8♦3♦9♦ flop. The 3♣ turn and 5♣ river were safe for Jones, who earned the full double through Hopkinson.

Lynn Samples raised to 12,000 in early position, finding an immediate call from Jeremiah Smith on her left. Maverick Johnson came along in the small blind, checking the A♦7♦5♦ flop.
Samples fired 40,000, with Smith calling and Johnson getting out of the way. Samples then checked the K♠ turn, and Smith took the betting lead by firing 50,000. Samples quickly called, and announced all in on the 5♠ river.
Smith stuck in the quick call, producing a frustrated reaction from Samples who tabled A♥8♥. Smith showed A♣10♣, resulting in a chop much to the delight of Samples.
K Davis checked the 10♦6♠3♣ flop from the small blind, with 30,000 already in the middle. David Peters bet 10,000 on the button, and Davis called to see the 9♠ turn.
Davis announced all in, producing a fold from Peters to earn the pot without a river.
It’s already been quite a series at Palace Poker for Shannon Eason, who has collected some impressive results and pulled a pair of massive bounties last weekend.
“I played Flight 1a for the [PokerNews] PowerStack Mystery Bounty and made it to Day 2,” Eason shared with PokerNews. “So I came back on Sunday and I pulled three bounties. The first bounty I pulled out of the hopper was the $10,000. I waited until later to pull out my last two. The second one was $300, and the last one was the $7,500.”
Eason secured the two top bounty prizes, going on to finish in tenth place to add more winnings for the week. But she wasn’t done there.
“It was a really good day there and then yesterday morning, I won the Black Chip Bounty. That was a really fun event to play, and I ended up being a heads up with another lady, which was awesome for me.”
The victory gave Eason her first RGPS ring, playing in her very first tournament series.
“That's my first ring ever. I was ecstatic. I was like, holy crap, I just want a ring, because I was ring hunting the entire time and I came in tenth at the PowerStack, so that was just icing on the cake that I made it all the way through. I sat back and waited and then attacked on the final table, which really did me well.”
Eason was left with great memories for the week, sharing her thoughts on the RunGood Poker Series that won’t be her last.
“I really like the way it is organized, it's been organized really well. The structures are great.
They are very communicative, which I, as a player, love, and they're explaining everything all the way down.”
“I'm on the lookout for different series. I'm going to Vegas in October, I'm going to play some tournaments out there when my parents go to the NASCAR race, so. I'm looking forward to it.”
The tournament clock for Day 1d shows more than 60 entries in the second level of action, bringing the overall total above 400 for the week.
That has seen the $200,000 guarantee already reached, with three more starting flights coming on Saturday.
