Schumacher Running on Fumes
Level 21
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Despite coming into the day as the overall chip leader, Matthew Schumacher has had a rough go so far on Day 2 and it was about to continue. Schumacher raised it up in early position and Flavio Palalon shoved all in for 760,000 in the small blind. Schumacher quickly called and the cards were on their backs.
Flavio Palalon: A♦10♣
Matthew Schumacher: A♠Q♠
The flop came 6♥3♦2♥ and Schumacher was still in the lead with the better ace-high. However, the 10♠ on the turn paired Palalon and the 2♦ hit the river to leave Schumacher on the short stack.
