Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,000 ante
Antonio Ndoja has built up the biggest stack in the room thus far on Day 1a, and this hand continued his strong performance.
Heather Alcorn got the action started with an open to 3,500 from early position. Antonio Ndoja called from the cutoff before Daniel Hughes joined with a call from the small blind.
The 9♦4♣3♥ flop was checked by both Hughes and Alcorn before Ndoja fired 4,000. Hughes called, but Alcorn folded.
Both players checked the 5♣ turn, ushering in the 8♦ river. Hughes checked again, but Ndoja was not in the checking mood, as he bet 12,000 on the river. Hughes did not think long before he folded and yielded the pot to Ndoja on the river.
