Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,000 ante
Antonio Ndoja began the bidding with a raise to 4,000 from the cutoff. Lisa Powers called on the button. Ruslan Zakharchuk wanted to play for more and opted to three-bet to 11,000 from the small blind. Both Ndoja and Powers called.
The 9♠2♠7♥ flop led to a bet of 6,000 from Zakharchuk. Ndoja folded, but Powers made the call.
Zakharchuk shoved for 20,500 on the 10♦ turn. Powers snap-called and put herself at risk for 14,000.
Lisa Powers: 2♣2♥
Ruslan Zakharchuk: A♣A♦
Zakharchuk held the best starting hand in the game, but he found out the bad news that the flop hit Powers in a big way when she revealed a set of deuces.
The 7♣ river did not bring the ace, and Zakharchuk took a big hit.
