: Blinds 600/1,200, 600 ante
Steven La Scola was under the gun and opened to 2,500. Tsung-Yi Chuang called from the next seat over, and David Smith joined the fray from early position. Joffrey Gaetz woke up with a hand he was willing to go with and shoved for 10,500 from the big blind. La Scola folded, but Chung made the call. Smith folded as Gaetz and Chuang went to showdown, with Gaetz at risk.
Joffrey Gaetz: A♣K♦
Tsung-Yi Chuang: K♥Q♥
Gaetz held the dominant lead, and the flop did not compromise that when it came K♠6♦2♣, keeping him in front with a pair of kings with an ace kicker.
The 8♥ turn kept Gaetz in front, and the A♦ river upgraded him to two pair to seal the deal.
