Tackett Out Pips Hockey
Level 12
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 2,000 ante
Jonathan Tackett opened to 9,000 from under the gun before Randy Hockey called from the big blind.
Both players checked the 2♦3♥4♦ flop, ushering in the A♠ turn. Hockey checked again, but Tackett was no longer willing to check as he wagered 5,000. Hockey called.
The 6♥ river resulted in another check call for 5,000 as Hockey and Tackett went to a showdown.
Hockey showed A♥10♦ for a pair of aces, but it was slightly inferior to Tackett's A♦J♠ as Tackett won the pot with his jack kicker.
