Hanna Busts Doyle in Huge Pot
Sean Doyle came into Day 2 third in chips, but his stint was short-lived despite that.
This hand broke out when Sean Doyle opened to 20,000 from middle position before Albert Colaizzi called on the button. David Hanna defended his big blind to create a three-handed pot.
Hanna checked the 3♥5♠7♦ flop before Doyle continued for 30,000. Colaizzi called, but Hanna opted to play for more and check-raised to 95,000. Doyle called, and Colaizzi folded.
The J♥ turn resulted in a bet of 165,000 from Hanna. Doyle called.
Hanna did not slow down on the 8♦ river as he chose to go all-in for 313,000. Doyle went into the tank before he flicked in the call, and they went to showdown in a huge pot.
Hanna showed 7♣7♠ for a set of sevens, and Doyle mucked his hand in response as he exited the tournament in 37th place.
