Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Mark Brutte opened from the hijack before Michael Varnell went all-in for 14,500. Brutte called and put Varnell at risk, as Brutte barely had him covered by 500 chips.
Michael Varnell: K♥K♠
Mark Brutte: A♥K♣
Varnell had Brutte's hand dominated, but he still needed to fade the ace to stay in contention.
