Eric Bunch (804,000) finished at the top of the chip counts on Day 1c as the third flight came to a close at the RunGood Poker Series Golden Expedition Hard Rock Tulsa $800 Main Event. Bunch will be among the hopefuls who return for Day 2 as they quest for the largest piece of the $100,000 guarantee continues.

Talon Voight (442,000) was the second-highest finisher while Matthew Hilario (380,000) finished third in chips at the conclusion of Day 1c.

Bunch has four RGPS rings to his name as he returns to attempt to claim a fifth on Sunday. He not only already has an RGPS Main Event title to his resume, but he captured the title in Tulsa when he won the RGPS Resort Oklahoma $800 Main Event for $65,829 in 2024. Bunch will look to add a second title in this city to his name as he will aim to add to his $144,490 in career earnings at RunGood events.

This is Voight’s first cash at a RunGood event as he aims to add a big splash when he returns to play on Day 2. Hilario has bagged his second cash of his career at RunGood events, with his last coming back in 2014 at RGPS Tulsa.

Nicholas Burris
Nicholas Burris

This may be starting to feel like dejavu for Nicholas Burris (292,000). It was one year ago in October that Burris captured the main event title at this very casino when he won the RGPS Grand Prix Tulsa Main Event for $65,635 for his second RunGood main event title overall. Burris has the opportunity to add a third title to his cabinet as he returns to the place that treated him so well a year ago.

RGPS Ambassador Drew “BetOnDrew” Gonzalez (172,000) also bagged on Day 1c. Gonzalez has amassed over $550,000 in live career earnings, according to The Hendon Mob, but the title of RGPS ring winner has escaped the seasoned pro thus far in his career. That can all change with a title run on Sunday.

Fellow RGPS Ambassadors Bart Bogard and Blair Hinkle also took their shot at earning a spot on Day 2, but neither were able to bag. Hinkle waited the longest to find out he wouldn’t make the cut on Day 1c as he bubbled the flight to finish just shy of bagging for Day 2.

RGPS Golden Expedition Hard Rock Tulsa $800 Main Event Day 1d is currently underway and represents the final opportunity for players to punch their ticket to Day 2. Day 2 begins at 12 p.m.

Fifteen-minute breaks are scheduled after three levels on Day 2, as the top 12.5% of each starting flight, rounded down, will return to continue their case of a title. All players who advance to Day 2 are in the money.

Jim Taylor opened to 16,000 from under the gun. Blair Hinkle went all-in for his final 6,000 from the next seat over. Drew "BetOnDrew" Gonzalez called Taylor's raise as Hinkle was at risk and stood to triple up should he win.

Gonzalez and Taylor checked it down on the 7♥3♥3♣6♣5♦ runout and went to a showdown.

Hinkle showed A♠10♠ for ace-high. Taylor showed a slightly better ace-high with A♦J♦, but it was Gonzalez with the winning hand as he tabled A♥5♣ for a pair of fives to claim the pot and eliminate Hinkle on the bubble.

Eric Bunch got it started with an open to 20,000 from under the gun. David Brown called from the hijack, and Nicholas Burris also called from the cutoff.

The 4♥J♠8♥ flop led to a bet of 35,000 from Bunch. Brown went all-in for exactly 35,000, and Burris also called.

Bunch and Burris checked down on the 5♥ turn and the 6♠ river to go to showdown.

Brown showed he turned a flush with K♥10♥, which bested Bunch's Q♠10♠ and the 10♣9♦ of Burris to take down the pot.

Ellis Scores Knockout

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Five players put in 12,000 each preflop to create a crowded pot as they took the flop.

The flop came A♦5♥5♣ before the big blind went all-in for his final 14,000. Nicholas Burris called from early position, and Duster Ellis also called from the cutoff.

The 2♥ hit the turn before Burris checked. Ellis went all-in, and Burris folded. Ellis then went to a showdown against the big blind.

Big Blind: A♣7♣All in
Duster Ellis: A♥Q♣

Ellis had the best hand headed to the river and it held on the 9♥ river as Ellis tallied the elimination.
