With around 2,000,000 in the middle, the flop read 7♣10♦3♥.
Alex Paredes checked in the big blind for Giuseppe Lomuscio to bet 1,100,000 from the hijack. Alberto Sabogali was the only one to make the call on the button.
They both checked through the A♦ on the turn to the 10♠ on the river. Lomuscio bet 1,100,000 for Sabogali to tank for a while before opting to shove.
Sabogali tabled the 7♥7♦ for a flopped set which he improved to a full house on the river for Lomuscio to flick his cards into the muck but the dealer revealed the Q♣10♣ for him to show he had hit trips.
The stacks needed to be counted as they were very similar. Sabogali had 4,525,000 in front of him and the dealer determined that Lomuscio had slightly less with 4,475,000 to bust in ninth place for $4,635.
