Wang Back on Track After Cracking Aces
Level 17
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
With the board reading K♣J♦8♥, Ken Wang was all-in from under the gun, having started the hand with a bit under 400,000. He was up against Richard Smith, who covered him from the big blind.
Ken Wang: J♣J♥
Richard Smith: A♦A♣
Wang was a massive favorite with a set of jacks, and he remained ahead as the rest of the board ran out 2♦4♥ to double through Smith.
Wang relayed the action after the hand, mentioning that he had opened to 25,000, Smith had three-bet to 85,000, and Wang had called. Smith led out with a small continuation bet on the flop, Wang shoved, and Smith called.
