Long Hangs On to Leave Riffel on Fumes

Both players were racing with nearly identical stacks as the flop came J♥10♣4♥, giving Riffel a straight draw to go with his overcards. The 5♠ turn was safe for long, while Riffel missed the 7♣ river and Young secured the pot.

The stacks were counted down and Long had 490,000 remaining. Riffel barely had him covered and was left on an extreme short stack. He was forced all in from the big blind the next hand and was up against Blair Hinkle, but both players showed jack-nine and ended up chopping the pot.

Williams Bests Hinkle Twice

Blair Hinkle raised to 100,000 in the cutoff and Terry Williams called in the small blind.

Both players checked the 5♣4♥A♠ flop. Williams then led out for 80,000 on the 5♦ turn, and Hinkle called.

Williams bet another 125,000 on the K♦ river. "Not the board I wanted to see," Hinkle said as he tossed Q♦Q♠ into the muck. Williams showed him K♣ as he took the pot.

A few hands later, Williams raised to 100,000 in the cutoff and Hinkle called in the big blind.

The Q♣J♠6♦ flop was checked through, and Hinkle then led out for 165,000 on the 2♠ turn. Williams called.

The 8♣ river was checked down, and Hinkle showed A♣10♥. Williams turned over 9♠9♦ to win another pot.

Riffel hit a pair on the Q♠10♠5♥ flop to take the lead, and Hinkle couldn't catch up on the 6♥ turn or 9♣ river as Riffel doubled up.

Blair Hinkle raised to 100,000 in the hijack and was called by Tom Fehr in the cutoff and Matthew Riffel in the big blind.

Action checked to Fehr on the 5♠5♣10♠ flop and he bet 210,000. Riffel folded, while Hinkle then raised to 425,000. Fehr called.

Hinkle continued for 125,000 on the 6♠ turn, and Fehr called to see the 7♠ river. Hinkle then moved all in, and Fehr snap-called for 500,000.

Hinkle turned over 6♦5♦ for a full house. "Good playing with you, guys," Fehr said as he tossed Q♠10♣ into the muck and made his exit in 11th place.

Aggarwal Spikes Trips to Double Off Do

Rohan Aggarwal raised to 105,000 in the hijack and Ryan Remmes called in the cutoff. Jack Do then three-bet to 305,000 in the small blind and Aggarwal moved all in for 660,000. Remmes folded, but Do called to put Aggarwal at risk.

It was a coin flip, and Aggarwal took the lead when the flop brought A♣A♠10♠ to give him trips. The rest of the board ran out 5♠6♠ and Aggarwal doubled up.

Jack Do raised to 100,000 under the gun and was called by Rohan Aggarwal on the button and Kevin Berthelsen in the big blind.

Berthelsen led out for 125,000 on the 10♥4♣3♥ flop, and only Do called. Berthelsen then bet 275,000 on the 4♠ turn, and Do folded this time.

The next hand, Aggarwal raised to 105,000 in the cutoff, Berthelsen three-bet to 260,000 in the small blind, and Aggarwal called.

The flop came K♠J♥9♠ and Berthelsen bet 175,000. Aggarwal folded, and Berthelsen took another pot.

Berthelsen hit top pair on the A♥3♦5♣ flop, and Drummonds was left drawing dead after the 8♦ turn. The river was the J♣ and Drummonds was eliminated.

At the same time at the other table, Samuel Hawley had most of his chips in from the big blind as Tom Fehr shoved from under the gun. Hawley waited for confirmation that Drummonds had been eliminated before calling off his last few chips.
