Gary Sixkiller limped in the cutoff, the small blind completed, and the big blind checked.
The flop came 5♦9♠6♥ and it checked to the big blind, who bet 500. Sixkiller called, as did the small blind.
The turn landed the 10♥ and it checked to the big blind again, who fired out a bet of 2,500. Only Sixkiller continued to the 7♠ river.
The big blind bet 2,500 once more and Sixkiller flicked in the call. The big blind tabled 9♣5♥ for two pair, nines and fives, but Sixkiller turned over 9♦7♥ for a better two pair.
Action continues at Palace Poker for the Dallas stop of the RunGood Poker Series Passport Season, as Day 1a of the $1,200 Main Event gets underway at 11:00 a.m. local time. The tournament features a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool, with seven Day 1 starting flights taking place over three days. Those who advance from each flight will combine and return for Day 2 on Sunday, March 29, where a winner will be crowned.
Players warmed up for the Main Event last weekend in the $360 PokerNews PowerStack, which drew 569 entries and set the tone for an exciting week ahead. Husband-wife duo James and Dori Coyle were both in the mix on Day 2, but it was James who walked away with the $32,211 top prize, along with his first RGPS ring and bragging rights.

Players will begin each starting flight with 50,000 in chips and blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Blinds will be 30 minutes in length during the Day 1 flights and will increase to 40 minutes for Day 2. Late registration is open until the start of Level 9, and unlimited reentries are allowed.
Should a player choose to play multiple Day 1 flights, only the highest qualifying stack will be permitted to continue to Day 2. Any lower stack(s) will be removed from play at the start of Day 2 and receive a min-cash.
Play for Day 1 flights will conclude once 12.5% of the field (rounded down) remains and those who bag will be in the money. Day 2 will then start at the earliest blind level of the seven flights on Sunday, March 29, where the event will play down to a winner.
