PokerNews PowerStack Comes to Palace Poker

RunGood Poker Series is making its way to Palace Poker in Grand Prairie, Texas, to host the $360 PokerNews PowerStack Ring Event, as players will look to get their share of the $100,000 guarantee.

This is the first time this tournament will be hosted at Palace Poker, as RGPS hosts the PokerNews PowerStack for the ninth time this season.

Mukul Pahuja and Sean Hold are currently tied atop the PokerNews PowerStack leaderboard with Scott Aulds following just a single point behind. The top ten finishers on the leaderboard at season's end will earn a $1,100 RGPS Passport Thunder Valley Main Event seat plus two nights' accommodation.

Players are slotted to start with 30,000 chips and will have five flights to choose from to try and advance to Day 2. Friday, March 20, will host Day 1a and Day 1b beginning at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.

Saturday, March 21, will host three total flights with flights. Day 1c will begin at 11 a.m., and Day 1d is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Flight 1e will begin at 10 p.m. and will follow a turbo format with 15-minute blind levels instead of the 30-minute blind levels allotted to Day 1a-1d.

Registration will be open until the beginning of Level 9 for all starting flights. Players are allowed to qualify more than once for Day 2. Should a player qualify more than once, they will take the biggest stack into play on Day 2 and forfeit the smaller stack for a minimum cash.

A total of 12.5%, rounded down, will qualify from each flight for Day 2. Play will resume on Day 2 at the lowest blind level of play during the Day 1 flights.
