Raad Claims Another Elimination
Level 12
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Alain Raad is having a strong flight thus far as he secured another elimination.
This hand began when the button opened for 11,000, and Raad responded with a re-raise to 26,000 from the big blind. The button called.
Raad bet 8,000 on the K♥8♥2♦ flop before the button shoved for 35,500. Raad called to put his opponent at risk.
Opponent: K♣10♥
Alain Raad: K♠2♠
His opponent had the better king preflop, but the flop changed all that as Raad hit two pair to have his opponent in rough shape with two cards to go.
The 6♥ turn altered nothing, and the 7♦ river completed the board to award Raad the pot and the knockout.
